Do I have
to frame my archway in curved?
No, you do
not have to frame your arch opening in
curved. However, some special framing
is required (hyperlink to framing
page). This is done to bring down the
corners of the sheetrock, or just hang
your sheetrock down 12” from the opening
header until the unit arrives.
Can I use
this on an existing arch opening?
Sometimes.
Often times the Elegant Arches system
will cover existing elliptical
openings. The best way to determine
this is by using the framing
instructions chart (hyperlink to framing
page) to determine the framing
dimensions for your rough opening
width. Then, measure out the
dimensions either on the wall, or a
separate template and place on the
arch. Call our office Monday thru
Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm CST if more help
is required.
Can I
paint or stain the unit to match the
rest of my moulding?
Yes, all
units come unfinished.
What size
of openings do you offer?
We
accommodate all rough opening widths
from 30”-117” wide and wall thickness up
to 14”.
What is
the lead-time?
We offer
quick ship units that are available in
7-10 business days. Other lead times
vary per order;
contact us to for more information.
Where can
I purchase Elegant Arches?
Lowes Home
Improvement Stores (hyperlink to Lowes
find a store page on their website) or
contact us to find a dealer in your
area.
What
moulding profiles are available?
Elegant
Arches are available in 5 different
profiles. These profiles choices are
called “Collections” (hyperlink to
collections). Typically the Elegant
Arch is a standalone unit that is chosen
to complement the moulding in the rest
of the home rather than match is
exactly.
Can I buy
additional moulding to use elsewhere?
Yes,
speak with a
sales representative for details.
How many
pieces do the Elegant Arches come in?
13. The
elliptical is one unit that simply
slides in place. Each capital (the
transition piece between the elliptical
and straight vertical moulding) are each
in one piece. The straight casing,
jambs and plinth blocks are separate so
they can be installed/shimmed as needed
to accommodate imperfect walls.
